A blank piece of paper embodies the entire universe- the heres and nows of forever. Its seemingly empty existence it actually defined by the trees where it came from, the hands that combined its fibers, the person who buys it, the purpose of it. A blank piece of paper is full of possibilities--it could be a the paper that a student's college essay is typed on, the scratch paper for a test, the beautiful masterpiece consisting of a child's squiggles. It can be anything, just like a stem cell of a human. It is still full of choices and paths from which to choose from. This is like the world, the universe, because all of time has been about different paths that people and things have been presented with, the ones that were chosen, and how that has led to where we are now and where we are headed. A blank piece of paper symbolizes so much more than its mere components; it is the posterity of the past.
